HONMA BERES PUTTER B-I A tungsten enhances perfect weight distribution A Tungsten keeps shaking to a minimum to enable improved accuracy when the golfer takes a strike. The secret to making this effect even more pronounced is the 190-gram tungsten weight that we’ve embedded in the back of the metal piece at the center, further lowering the center of gravity. The result is a weight ratio of 89:11 between the ABS resin and the tungsten (total head weight is approximately 350 grams), which ensures smooth strokes and keeps the ball from rolling excessively.
An ABS resin face yields unrivalled feel and a superior swing The ABS resin used in the face engenders a feather-soft-yet-solid feel, and to make a good thing even better, the design also stabilizes rolling on impact.
Rule violations Where the length of the putter face to the posterior is longer than that from the head toe to the heel, orientation improves dramatically, and putting is a cinch but unfortunately this kind of design is against the rules. That’s where Honma came up with a solution: a two-piece construction in which the face and the area around the metal piece at the center of the head are cast in ABS resin.
